Ok, so I realize there haven't been any updates in the past few days this is mainly to blame on 3ds max, it keeps crashing on me and in the process it keeps corrupting my saved projects, oh joy! (and no, for those wondering, autoback is not helping me out either)
So after the third crash of the day I usually give up and start up minecraft..
Anyway, I'll do a fresh re-install this weekend and hopefully I can post a few new projects by then.

..
Unless minecraft comes in the way... oh damn you minecraft! Damn you and your addictive gameplay!
My own little challenge that I care enough about to share with whoever wants to take a look.

Day 3 Gameboy Advance SP
And so day 3 has arrived and it's time for a new picture for everyone to enjoy.
For today's object I've chosen an old Gameboy Advance SP I've got lying around, as you can see it's nowhere near finished but I enjoyed working on this one so much I decided I'll continue with it tomorrow. I know that's not really part of the rules I set for myself but hey, who's gonna stop me :D
Eventually I want to have it in an open state, so it'll hopefully look a lot different tomorrow.

Day 2 Toothpick holder
So here we are at day 2. Another simple object for now, don't want to start off setting the bar too high for myself :P
Very simple object for today so I limited myself to work on this for a maximum of 20 minutes. Was fairly happy with it before I rendered it, but then the render came out and I noticed several things I hate (like the cap part looking like it's part of the main body part, or the clear plastic texture) but oh well, that's exactly the point of this all, model the objects as fast as I can and then see what I need to look for/improve on next time.

Day 1 my own cardreader
And here's object number 1 the usb cardreader I stared at for hours on end since it's lying right in front of me.
And a little reference picture made with my phone (so not really a great quality).
I realize the textures on my model are not exactly the same as on the original but that's due to my own set time limitations.

This new blog of mine and what I intend to do with it.
I created this blog as a sort of challenge for myself.
Everyday on here I'll post a new render of a random object I created that I find laying around on my desk or something I just wanted to create.
For all the 3d work on here I'll use the 3D max 2011 student version unless noted otherwise.
Of course a challenge wouldn't be any fun if there were no rules at all, so I'll work on each object for a maximum of 1 hour a day. I realize that due to this I sometimes won't be able to finish every object in time the way I want to. This is where the weekends come in, I'll use them to finish work on the objects that I feel deserve it.
